Concello de Ares (Galicia, Spain)
Ares is a quaint fishing village in the Ferrolterra region with a population of approximately 6,000. It has a long-standing tradition of sports and has been drawn to the new Erasmus Plus 2021-2027 initiative, which seeks to accommodate new partners and support municipalities with limited opportunities, particularly those in rural areas.
In this project, the locality will be represented through the Ares Town Hall, the highest governing institution responsible for the execution of public policies and the main representative body of the people. Through its Sports Department, sports projects focused on outdoor activities such as hiking, Nordic walking, mountain biking, orienteering, and climbing are promoted
